An investigation on behalf of current long term investors of Ambassadors Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:EPAX) over possible breaches of fiduciary duties by certain directors and officers at Ambassadors Group was announced.

The investigation by a law firm on behalf of current long term Ambassadors Group investors concerns whether certain officers and directors of Ambassadors Group breached their fiduciary duties or violated other laws in connection with alleged violations of Federal Securities Laws by Ambassadors Group.
A lawsuit against educational company Ambassadors Group and others is currently pending in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. The plaintiff alleges on behalf of those who purchased EPAX shares between February 8, 2007 and October 23, 2007that Ambassadors Group and others violated Federal Securities Laws between February 8, 2007 and October 23, 2007 by misrepresenting or failing to disclose material adverse information concerning Ambassadors Group’s business, operations and financial prospects. Ambassadors Group 12months total revenue went from $88.95million in 2006 to $98.61million in 2009. While Ambassadors Group’s revenue went up its Net Income went over the same period from $26.69million in 2006 to $20.34million in 2009.
In November 2009 Ambassadors Group disclosed that on October 27, 2009 the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") had issued a formal order of investigation with respect to trading in Ambassadors Group’s securities, and that Ambassadors Group, certain of its officers, directors and employees, among other persons, have received subpoenas from the SEC requesting information.
Shares of Ambassadors Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: EPAX) traded in 2006 as high as over $30 and went in 2007 over $40 per share, before losing more than 50% of its value between October 12 2007 and November 09 2007. EPAX shares continued to hold value at roughly $20 per share over the next months but lost by the end of 2008 another 50% and traded below $10 per share. In 2009 EPAX shares traded as low as $6.72 per share but then increase to over $15 per share during the summer months in 09.
