June 5, 2015 (Shareholders Foundation) - An investigation on behalf of investors of AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc (NYSE:AMC) shares over potential securities laws violations by AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc and certain of its directors and officers in connection certain financial statements was announced.

The investigation by a law firm focuses on possible claims on behalf of purchasers of the securities of AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc (NYSE:AMC) concerning whether a series of statements by AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc (NYSE:AMC regarding its business, its prospects and its operations were materially false and misleading at the time they were made.

AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc reported that its annual Total Revenue declined from over $2.74 billion in 2013 to over $2.69 billion in 2014 and that its respective Net Inome declined from $364.40 million to $63.77 million.

On June 1, 2015, AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc that, on May 28, 2015, AMC Entertainment Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc., received a Civil Investigative Demand from the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice in connection with an investigation under Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Antitrust Act and that on May 29, 2015, AMC Entertainment Inc also received a Civil Investigative Demand from the Antitrust Section of the Office of Attorney General of the State of Ohio regarding a similar inquiry under Ohio’s antitrust laws. AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc said that t he Civil Investigative Demands request the production of documents and answers to interrogatories concerning potentially anticompetitive conduct, including film clearances and participation in certain joint ventures.
